Bob’s Tool Room Exhibit

The Boundary Museum Society houses this new exhibit in the Black Hawk Livery Exhibition Building.

This exhibit is our first digital collection management project, Bob’s Tool Room, a collection of over 1,000 non-motorized hand tools deeded to the Boundary Museum by the DeMaertelaere family that the public will be able to enjoy via a new interactive visual program designed by Les Johnson, volunteer IT, consultant and museum enthusiast.

The Museum is very proud of our partnership with the Boundary Woodworkers Guild who took on building the display to showcase the many tools.

Visitors have expressed their amazement having never seen a collection of this magnitude under one organization. Thank you to everyone who worked alongside the leadership team under David Bevan’s guidance, including Peter Kootchein, Dan McLean, Bob McTavish, Lee Derhousoff and summer student Emma Chapman.
